Testimonials
Dear Mr. Gault,

It was a pleasure meeting you and the other representatives from your organization last week. Athletes for Life has been a true blessing. Our entire family was tested, and the last person we suspected would have a problem was Josh. You can imagine our surprise when his test came back with a negative report. Being only 16, and so full of life and energy, we were certainly shocked to find out he had a potential problem with his left ventricle. Upon receiving the findings from Dr. Scott, we immediately made a call to Josh's pediatrician who contacted a cardiologist that same day. Within a week and a half, we had seen the cardiologist, performed another treadmill test, had hypertension medicine in hand and had scheduled an echocardiogram. The cardiologist has released Josh to participate in any sport he wishes, but will continue to monitor your findings. Since Josh did not have any signs or symptoms of a problem, we would have never contacted a physician, much less a cardiologist. Being a football player and wrestler he constantly pushes his body to it's limit, which could have been disastrous had we not been made aware of this condition. With the proper medication, physician care, and knowledge Josh can continue being a carefree 16 year old. Thank you so much for giving the time, effort and energy that go into such a wonderful program such as Athletes for Life. A big thank you to the contributors and supporters that fund the work. Your equipment is state of the art and you have a tremendous staff. You have our full permission to use Josh's name and information in any news releases and articles.

Sincerely,

Keith and Renee Nail

I am an employee at Pontotoc Technology Center here in Ada. Your mobile unit was here about 2 months ago and I took the advantage of doing the stress test. I just want to THANK YOU for being here at our Tech Center. You have saved my life, I am scheduled for open heart surgery tomorrow 8-14-08 at the OK Heart Hospital in OKC, Dr. Garrett said they will do a 4 by-pass or maybe 5 not sure till he gets in there. Please give your team members a big hug for me. I just can’t thank you enough for being here, you are doing a wonderful thing.

Hey there Steve,

We are so happy you all decided to come to PTC and bring the trailer to perform life saving screenings. You all are the best! Can you send me the pictures of Willie and me? I would like to use them for documentation of the event. Let’s set up some times for you all to come back…so that we can perform some more screenings, maybe at both hospitals and some area schools. Again, thanks.

I hope you guys are doing well. I know that we have had three employees follow-up with their doctors after they received test results. One of our employees will be have triple bypass next week. I am thankful for you and your mission. Thank you for what you do.

It was good to hear from you. I am glad things are going well. Marsha’s surgery went great and she came home yesterday. She was so impressed with your services; it may have very well saved her life. I am sure she would love to hear from AFL; tell Willie I said thanks for saving my friend!

Take care and let us know if we can do anything,

This is our 5th annual Health Care Expo this year on September 10, 2008 from 9:00am-2:00pm. PTC will be having a scenario about a gas leak and will involve our heavy equipment program, Mediflight, fire training center, 911 dispatching training center, EMS, local and volunteer firefighters. Also, we had around 30 health vendors from Ada last year setup to hand out information to our students. I will be inviting our local Jr. High and High school students to attend the event. I would like if the Athletes For Life trailer could be here and if you would like to have staff here to run more heart screenings. If the staff can not make it then it would still be good to set up so the high school students could see what Athletes For Life is. We have always had a great turnout at this event. We try to do a scenario each year so the students can see how to respond to this if this happened in real life. Please let me know if you will be able to come to Ada and participate in the Health Care Expo.

Thanks,

Thanks to Athletes for Life I now know of a possible heart problem, I did not know about. I really appreciate Willie Gault and his foundation for offering this service to our community. I now am telling everyone especially the fire fighters I work with about this service.

Thanks again,
